Installing The Wifi Ranger

Roof Installation

Our Wifi Ranger has 2 units, 1 for the inside of our Tiffin 33AA Motorhome and the other mounts on the roof.

The roof unit needs to be mounted so that it can get line of sight to the nearest wifi repeater or source (think Starbucks) so that you can then use the signal to distribute to all of your devices. The unit comes with a RJ45 cable that needs to be routed from the roof to the inside unit. Our inside unit is in the bedroom with the other AV equipment, so naturally we mounted the Wifi Ranger

The last thing I ever wanted to do was put a hole (on purpose) through the roof of our RV. There are far too many stories of roof leaks that I didn’t want to do anything that I would regret later…
