Our longest stay to date, we stayed at Bay Landing for a total of 16 nights. We moved due to our RV vs Challenger accident on 11/26/2016 and we needed to get an estimate on fixing our 4 month old RV 🙁 .
Bay Landing was an interesting campground, the entrance is more than a mile away from the actual campground and that mile drive down the road, can only be traveled at a speed of 2 – 10MPH due to the potholes that are in desperate need of attention.
Here is a video showing about 2/3 of the 1.5 mile road.
The video has been edited to speed up some potions of the drive.
Bay Landing has 224 sites, but only 7 are full hookup with 30 amps. That’s right, 7 and only 18 with full hookups and 50amp, they are sites 100 – 125 on their site map.
One other notable issue was that they have a Border Collie dog breeder that borders the campground to the north and the sound of dogs barking is a constant all day nuisance.

How is the Campground Wifi?
Awful… just plain awful. You have to pay for Wifi at your site and the charge for ‘high-speed’ internet is $5 per day or $15 for the week. What they do not tell you is that the speed is going to be about the same as a Dial-up Line.
Ok, I have said it before and screamed it inside the RV to myself…
HIGH SPEED INTERNET IS NOT A LESS THAN 1MB DOWNLOAD SPEED
How far away are local food establishments?
About 10 minutes to Bridgeport where there was fast food, grocery and gas stations.
20 minutes to Decatur where you have Walmart and most of businesses that go with Walmart.
1 Hour to Denton which has anything you could possibly want. Denton is a suburb of Fort Worth.
how easy is the campground to find?
GPS led us right to the front door, no issues but hard to see the driveways in the dark, if coming from the East, the driveway is right after the Dollar General store.
