About the property
We arrived to Lost Valley Lake on an overcast Wednesday (10/12/2016) about 5pm. Unfortunately our GPS had us taking a old gravel road for part of the trip instead of staying on the highway (no idea why).
This is a beautiful location and with that comes a few disadvantages…

Check-in Process - Thorough and Friendly?
Once we made it to the guard station, we were greeted and directed to the office to do our formal checkin. We parked and went inside and were promptly greeted by freindly staff who welcomed us to the park. We were given a great goodie bag, papers outlining the schedule, amenities and a walkthrough of the map to where our site was located.

Our site is a 50amp pull-through with full hookups including a firepit/grilling grate. Our site was fairly level and had crushed rock for the base.

Local Area Attrations
There is an onsite restaurant, but it was only open Friday – Sunday and while we did eat there on Friday for lunch, we spent $20 to have 2 Burgers / Fries and a Soda. The food was good, but $20 just to eat onsite was a little steep.

Pricing and Conclusions
Again, this is a beautiful RV Resort with gorgeous lakes and ponds. But when we step back and look at what we are looking for compared to what they are offering, it simply is not a good fit.
Pricing: Basically you pay a one-time rate of ~13,000 for a lifetime membership. Then you have to pay ~$500 per year in dues that are to go toward maintenance of all the amenities. You do get to camp for free for up to 21 days at a time and then you have to leave for 9 days before you can come back in. This resort is a Coast to Coast Premier Resort and comes with 1 Yr of C2C included.
The lack of phone and internet, combined with the very odd shaped sites that prevented us from having Bailey hang outside would not bring us back to Lost Valley Lake.
