Frog City RV Park

We stayed at Frog City for about a week while I traveled back to Des Moines. We were initially concerned about safety due to this was right next to a truck stop. Our concerns were quickly eliminated after we arrived on site. This is a nice, friendly, quiet and safe RV park that we will likely frequent as we travel down I-10 along our southern border…

No, but that isnt why we stay at this park. This is not a destination but rather a 1 – 3 night stop while you do somethign in a close town, or just need to rest.

No big shade for your rig.

Are there enough full hookups?

Yes, all sites are full hookups.

All sites have 50amp

How is the Campground Wifi?

Wifi was ok, we were able to connect to the casino free Wifi and it was pretty fast for us.

Is there Verizon 4G LTE service?

No issues with Verizon coverage at all. Full 5 bars on the hotspot.

Is there any on-site entertainment?

No, but plenty to do in Lafayette.

How far away are local food establishments?

10 – 30 min drive to nearly anything you want.

Do they pick up garbage onsite?

No, trash is a short walk to the end of the park

Are there ‘walking’ trails onsite?

No walking trails, just the 4 lanes of RV’s to walk around.

is there food on-site?

No.

Can you get DirecTV service?

No issues with satellite.

Any ‘Hiking’ trails on-site or nearby?

No trails on site at all, but there is a big space to the west of the park that you can walk around if you have a dog that wants more than a small piece of grass to go on.

Are there fire-pits at each site or communal?

No fires.

how easy is the campground to find?

Very easy as it is right off of I-10.

Pictures

Sorry, we didn’t take pictures while we were visiting Frog City (outside of Bailey of course), I have no idea why but we are getting much better about taking pictures as we move along…
